This was from a Vietnam war era veteran who was in the Survey Corps which was disbanded in 1996.
It has various sized stylus' for map drawing, a skill now virtually lost due to digitisation.
The thing that really impresses me is the craftsmanship of the NSW Coachwood box it is housed in. The lid fits perfectly and locks precisely.
Might get refinished one day?
