I received this machine and was told it contained all the parts and that it worked. I was also given a printed copy of a manual from online that is for Singer 82387 No. 66 but the key to it was lost. They couldn't confirm if the machine actually matched the printed document they gave me. They did mention it has a foot pedal. Is there any way to determine from the case what model it is? How would I find a key to open it?
The case is 17" long x 8" wide X 12" tall (add handle 15" tall")
The case is referred to as a "Bentwood Case" - here is what the key should look like, it has a "T" slot head. - Don't go by the price on the auction site because there are several available for cheaper. - This can easily be "picked" or if you have the mechanical aptitude you could actually fabricate one out of a flat metal;

Thank you. I have been trying to see if I could pick it using a screwdriver but had no luck. If you have other ideas for picking it please let me know. I will see if I can find a key that looks like the one in the link but for cheaper. Appreciate the quick response!

it appears to be a 1934. Model # AD598038 however it does not appear to have the foot pedal.
That's good you got it open - I hope you didn't hack up the wood like the guy in the link did - EGADS!! - Can you take a picture of the machine itself now? - I think the number you gave is the serial number which does trace back to the Model #99 and the date of manufacture 1934. - If it is the Model 99, here is a downloadable free pdf instruction manual and if you check ebay "singer model 99 foot pedal" there are probably quite a few foot pedals available, more than likely they are interchangeable between any of the electrical models.
Just added a picture. I was wrong, I was thinking foot pedal, it has the knee pedal. No, I thankfully did not tear into the wood like the guy in that link did!
it's a model 99, and the hole in the front of the case tells us it should have a knee controller. It might be hiding up inside the top of the dome case.
