IMHO you should not have regrets for the ones that got away.
This came into our life unexpectedly in 2004 at a time we needed money pretty badly, and despite my wife's protestations that it was too gorgeous to sell, I cast it out into an appreciative international market via eBay.
It was unmarked, other than an impressed serial number, but it's distinctively by Amphora or one of the other nearby Teplitz potteries.
This stuff was pretty hot at the time, as the definitive book, "MONSTERS AND MAIDENS - Amphora Pottery of the Art Nouveau Era" had just come out the year before. I can't remember what we got, but coupled with a favorable exchange rate, I do recall it paid a lot of urgent bills.
So no regrets, except the fact that I've never found another one!
Gone pieces leaves at least the Joy to have owned them :-)
It was (and is!) beautiful !
