Got this Rocking Chair at an estate sale. Did not find a makers mark anywhere on it. There is a small piece of newspaper clipping on the inside bottom stuck to it. Would like to know if anyone can help me figure out how old it is and where it came from. It is a beautiful chair.

This chair is from Turkey. My husband was stationed there in the late 1980's went down a alley in a small town and purchased it from a store there. He had it shipped back here for his mother.

      Thank you for the info.
I am thinking that the armrests are Jaguars, but not sure.

That is the difference from the one I have and yours, mine does not have jacquars. Everything else looks similar. I am trying to find out what it is worth, have you gotten any ideas?

My husband also bought this chair in Turkey while in the service in the 80’s. Does anyone know what it is worth? He said he bought it at a place called the alley.

We have one just like this in a lighter wood color. Did you ever find out any more about yours?

No I never did. I put it in an auction house and got $60 for it. :-(
