I recently inherited this lamp from my father who had it for at least 60 years. I was told that this is a whale oil lamp that was converted to electricity some time ago (the electric cord is made of cloth). The top part of the lamp rests in the base. It did not come with have a shade. It is approximately 2 feet and 8 inches tall. Any help identifying it will be appreciated, as well as any help locating a shade for it.
