I bought these at an indoor flea market they I think they are a rope hoist. There is S N Co stamped on the hooks and P.CLARK stamped on the sides. They look very old and I wondering if anyone could give me some history about them and I was also wondering what they would be worth as well.
Thanks,
Jacob
In days of Nelson and sailing ships. Wooden blocks and pulleys would be used to lift things, a man with a double pulley could lift twice his own weight by the rope arrangement.
I would think these are for factory work and for lifting things. I'm surprised they don't have a lifting capacity written upon them.
Ok cool thanks so are they worth anything and what company made them p.clark or s.n co and how old are they
A double luff, would make a cool industrial pendent lamp.
