    We have had this picture in our family for some time and was wondering about its creator or any information on the picture. I believe there is a signature on the back but its in a frame atm.

      This looks like one of the many prints of official USAF photography - you would need to remove from the frame - identification is probably on the selvage underneath the matting.

      In the past, they not really pay attention, to copyright, or signature, when framed.
      agh is right, you will have to unframed, and look around, usual underneath the matting in one corner, you should see there.
