I'm looking for help identifying the culture this ring came from. It's about US size 12 and it could have been used as currency. Both Ancient Rome and Viking cultures seemed like promising directions for a while but I was unable to find a similar item, even though it feels like I've seen something like that before. The closest items I've found have one "knob", this has four. Please let me know if you are able to provide any insight.

Hi Davyd, I've just opened the link, you have to go to search type in WMF then it should put you into the link.

Whoops then you come up with another page. Press the first link which should be Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF).

Got it, thank you! The company history offers only one tiny paragraph about glass but it's a start. I have a set of WMF knives and this info may be useful for dating them. Thanks again.

I may have to get the book at some point. In the meantime, have you seen this?
