So I posted this little dish a long while ago asking for help identifying it, then again yesterday as part of another group of bubbly glass mysteries, and TallCakes asked if I could post a photo of a corner of the dish, so am posting the requested photo along with others in hopes that he or someone might be able to provide a lead to what it might be. It's a very pretty dish, I hope you enjoyed seeing it, and thanks for looking.
MYSTERY SOLVED: TallCakes has solved the mystery! "It is ID'ed as 'Candy Plate' by Federal Glass c1914"
so it looks like little hexagons in a recessed trench/row on the underside, and then smooth concave ribs between the hex button rows. Any idea on provenance and what is size? As I noted previously this was incorrectly IDed as Electric by McKee on one EAPG site but it definitely does not match the catalog.
TallCakes, until you said hexagons, I thought they were bubbles!!! And those buttons are between the round raised ribs, I thought the buttons were inside the ribs, and the other sections were flat!!! You see how observant I am, LOL! I've nothing on provenance, and the size is 7 1/2" x 5 3/4". :)

Katherine, this dish is amazing! I love that, so unusual to me. It looks thick and by the mild discoloration (which is awesome) you can tell it's really old! Nice!
Lol! I just read your response, you are too funny, but I get it! Sometimes we either have to put on some specks or look closely at the photos we take. lol I've seen things that come out in the photos sometimes I never knew were there. Too cute!
Ok, so the buttons are set in the recessed rib formed by the raised convex ribs, and the tray rests on the rounded ribs. I looked thru many rib & column patterns and don't see anything that matches; ribs & columns patterns are often radiating from the center like this on flat forms. Have you black light checked for manganese? It may be a one-off piece that's not part of an extended pattern, and therefore not documented.
TallCakes, I don't have a black light, so can't check that way, shucks.
I just have to say thank you so very very much for looking and trying to find this pattern for me, it is so greatly appreciated. BTW, FYI, I spent I don't know how many hours searching glass pattern sites and never found this pattern. I had hopes that you could find it but if you couldn't find it then I know it can't be found and will stay a mystery. Again, thank you so much.
