Paraphernalia consisting of my knife which was very old at the time I got it. My Boy Scout book, which is the 7th edition, 2nd printing. You all, that know these old Boy Scout books, can probably date this book to the exact month. And from that which is pictured, is a one-person Coleman stove which I'm gonna post separately. And it is the one piece that does not go all the way back to the 60's. It was purchased a few years later but is still old. Looking at this Boy Scout book, back at age 12 or so when I was in the scouts, I was a serious collector of "stickers" Most of those I collected were automotive in nature. STP Oil stickers, Champion Spark plugs and I remember one that was really cool was "Hookers Headers". I had maybe two hundred different stickers which should be around somewhere in all of my junk today. Where?, I don't know, but anyway, The Rislone Racing sticker that's on my Boy Scout book was one that I had more than 4 of. I made it a point to try and get at least 4 stickers every time stickers were available. I bet I wrote to 20-30 different companies trying to coax them into sending a kid some stickers. Believe it or not many of those companies did send stickers to me. And the ones I had plenty of, like this one on the book would get stuck here and there. All my school notebooks had stickers on them. My school locker, my bike, everything was a sticker area. I'm sure that all those stickers would be worth some money today because some were downright scarce and I was constantly being asked if I wanted to sell this sticker or that one. Somewhere I have that original "sticker collection" and of course they were still pristine with the paper on the back still in place. In other words, they were "un-stuck" stickers. But anyway......

Wow, you ARE still alive. That's greeeeeat. This weekend I was going to check up on you. Glad to see you finally came up for air. Now to your comment & question. Gee, I'm thinking that was supposed to be a ha ha on the stickers because while I vaguely remember "scratch 'n sniff" ads in mags for like perfume and stuff but I don't recall stickers? Were there really such animals? Because if they were, I left out another whole element/aspect of the collection? I kinda think you were pulling my leg on that one, but it was a good one if you were. lol And as far as the question. Yes, I transformed... From mammal to bird. Cub scout to eagle. I was a lifer.... for a couple years anyway. One of my merit badge assignments put me on the ocean for an extended period of time, and I actually never went back. At least my life started to flow in a new entirely different direction. I just looked back over what all I wrote to answer a simple question?? Are you familiar with an Allman Brothers Band song titled "rambling man". Well, that's me. Ramble wayyyy too much. But getting down to a serious note, thank you very much for looking and for the comment... Oh,.. and the question.
P.S. New pic looks good. Wuda been hard to improve on the one you had.... but you did...Congrats.

Yes I am alive but barely! My work has been crazy busy and between the few hours of sleep I get and my job I try to get on and see what all my "peeps" (that's what I call every one) are up to. My house is a disaster but kids are on spring break and no sense cleaning til they go back. So have a little time to say Hi before I have to go to work. Its a big night all 20 lanes are reserved for moonlight bowling should be fun hopefully make a killing in tips. Now look who's rambling. Rambling man is a fine song but I see my ramblings with Led Zeppelin's "Ramble on" plus I'm a sucker for any thing Middle Earth. I hope you know what I mean by that otherwise I must be a total nerd. Anyways stickers, I was teasing but yhea there is such a thing as scratch n sniff. Also fuzzy, puffy and my personal favorite gogglie eye. Both my kids are scouts my oldest is a tender foot and little one is a wolf. Sure is getting expensive! Its fun though I enjoy all the other parents and the kids have a blast in fact my little wolf and I need to get going on his pinewood derby car. My oldest does not want me around much any more so I don't go with him to his meetings just my money! Its nice to hear how scouts affect people thanks for post. Thank you for the pic complement you are sweet:) hope the rest of your weekend is nice. Chat with you soon.

Good to hear on all points. Led Zeppelin is in my "top five" Allman Bro's in my top ten ( top 5 is already too crowded with 6 or 7 fav's) Went to the same high school as Gregg & Duane and when the older brother Duane got hit on his Harley in Ga, (was hit by a peach truck as in "Eat A Peach" sound familiar?) there was a big memorial where a huge caravan of vehicles road by the parents house in Daytona Beach Shores (I graduated from Seabreeze high in Ormond Beach which is a suburb of Daytona). Anyway I'll ramble about all this in a personal email but yea, I grew up and partied with everyone in the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd and saw both bands many times before anyone had ever seen them outside Jax Fl and Daytona Beach. Also Molly Hatchet, 38-Special, Marshall Tucker, Grinder Switch etc etc. Lots of good southern rock 'n roll came from right around where I grew up in those two Fl towns. Anyway don't want to make you feel like a nerd but I'm lost on "middle earth" I'm guessing it's 70's music?? Am I warm?? Take care. Will write more in another venue. Just got in from being on the water all afternoon 'til dark-thirty. Just cleaned the boat and now I need a shower. Later...
