I found this really neat old bottle, and I have looked everywhere to see if I can figure out what it may have been used for!
From what I can tell, it is hand made, and has leather all around it, with a neat spade like shape on each side. You can tell that it probably used to have a leather strap attached to it, however the strap is long gone I'm sure!
Anyone seen one of these before?
Research "leather wrapped bottles" or "leather wrapped flasks" -- these were made in several different shapes and sizes and were mostly "tourist souvenirs", mainly out of Italy.
