Foo Dog Censer?

My mother just picked up this cool little guy from a thrift store. We know zero history about it. It's roughly 7"x4" and is very, very heavy for it's size. The head tilts forward to reveal what looks like possibly an incense chamber. Smoke would come out of the mouth if a cone of incense was lit inside. The bottoms of the feet and where the head meets the back are all more worn than the rest are are showing what looks to be bright bronze. I would love, love, love any info. Thanks in advance!
