I just acquired a sling rocker similar to yours. I found marking underneath of MS 1971. Yours is the second one I have found on the internet. However, I only recently started looking. My rocker had a cloth rapped several time on the seat and then was tacked on with decorative tacks. It wasn’t the original material and I removed it. I too am looking for answers before deciding to have it upholster. I would think the upholstery on your chair is more in line with the time and history of our chairs, if not original. There were no other marking I could find on the chair and I have to assume these are the initials and year it was made.
