Thanks to Kerry (kerry10456) for guiding me through the removal of the watch movement from the watch case.
Under the bezel (the crystal & rim), there are 3 screws on the outside of the dial (see photo #2). With these screws removed, and the watch rotated to the most forward position, I was able to remove the movement from the back of the case (see photo #3).
Once the movement was out (see photo 1), I checked the pivot post connections. The pivot post are inserted through the side of the case, the ends spread apart, and then soldered in place. They are solidly attached with no movement allowed.
The movement doesn't appear to be very dirty from what I can see, but it does not run, so I hope to get it in running order at some time.
Photo #4 is the patent drawing design that was applied for by Russel A. Cowles, filed on Feb. 28, 1922 and granted on Sept. 12, 1922. Thanks to aghcollect & walksoftly for finding this patent & drawing for me.
A big thanks to all who are so helpful on CW,
Dave

Dave, just respondedto your email....no problem.
Glad this is working out :-)
Thanks Kerry, I sent you an email a little while ago.
LOL Dave, we've been crossing comments....You're welcome and send it, she'll run again :-)
Kerry, I haven't received your email response yet, but the watches will be in the mail tomorrow if the address I have is correct.
Thanks very much, your the greatest!!!!
Dave
Good thing it wasn't left to me to take apart! Doubt it would be so neat & organized, but I would have taken it apart! LOL!!
Thanks aghcollect for the appreciation.
BB2, I'm glad I received the good advice from Kerry because I was bound & determined to see how it was put together. Without Kerry's advice, it would have looked similar to your disassembly (LOL).
Dave
Dave...address is correct....and @ Lucas, Hammers don't take apart, they refurbish LOL
PW, I doubt that you had a hammer & torch in mind. LOL!!
wow!!! I could use one of these :)
The watch movement is on it's way to Kerry to be resurrected !!! Once it is replace in it's place of honor, it will never have to breathe second hand smoke again, as long as it resides with me.
Thanks for all the loves & appreciation:

By the way, the 2nd hand smoke thing was never proven by studies. It just became "fact" by the same lie told enough times to become fact. (The Nazi & Israeli tactic). Sorry if I offend anybody. Just reporting the facts. I don't smoke.
BB2, all I know, is that it must have choked to death because it's balance wheel (heart) did not have one beat left in it (LOL).
Thanks Alan2310 for the appreciation.
I like the smell of fresh cigarette smoke, - but hate dirty ashtrays & the left over smell in cars, houses etc.. Brings on the puke reflex!
Thanks officialfuel for the appreciation.
Thanks petey for the appreciation.
Dave ........TA-DA....operation a success....
Awesome, Dr. Kerry.
Thank you Caperkid for the appreciation.
Your very welcome enjoying your posts.
Kerry,
The Ansonia pocket watches arrived today, and after a strenuous period (on my part) on the operating table, I was successful in putting the heart back in the body. Adjusted its arms to the right time, turned its crown, rotated it a little, and it took off ticking like a brand new baby.
Thanks for all your skills & time.
Dave
Love to hear success stories like this! We really are a great bunch! If we weren't so modest, we would be perfect! Another story with a good ending.
Thanks pops52 for the appreciation.
Thanks again bb2 for the appreciation.
