    This item is about an inch long.

    It was also in a box of very old items.

    I have never seen anything like this before.

      Pool game theme "Behind the 8 Ball"? Behind the eight ball definition. A term, referring to the game of pool, meaning in an unfavorable or uncomfortable position: “After his unkind remarks were repeated to the boss, Gary really ended up behind the eight ball.” Is it a key chain ring?

      It could have been used as a fob on a pocket watch chain.
      Thats what I would use it for.

      It does have a ring on it, making it possible to attach to a key ring OR a watch chain.
