I am hoping to find more information on this table.
I purchased it in Maine with the Windsor chairs. The chairs all have a maker's mark (DR Dimes), though the table does not. I've done a lot of searching online and found only one other table of this type with this style leg and stretcher, priced at over $5,000 at a Massachusetts antique dealer.
The table is 36" wide, 78" long, and 30" tall. No maker's mark. It is very sturdy, has breadboard ends and a chamfered stretcher base.
I am wondering if anyone might know more about this cool table. Are there style/construction differences that distinguish a farm table from a tavern table, or harvest table? Can the style of leg and turning help indicate period of time built or anything else?
Thanks
Love it!!!!!!!
