This beautiful pontiled Louisville Ky. bottle was dug in a 1850's trash dump in downtown Savannah. What makes this bottle so nice is the pleated base that goes around the bottle. There are several other types of this design on other Louisville Bottles. One in cobalt blue very rare.
It is great to see someone has the chance to still find the treasures of yesterday. I guess 100 years from now, they'll be digging plastic bottles.
