mumsmyster…
(1 item)
Very fond of this 'thing' but we have absolutely no idea what it is: my mother acquired it from a deserted local farm in Suffolk, UK, over 50 years ago and its been in the family ever since - apparently it once had a swan-neck top to the handle, lost many years back.
If anyone has ever seen anything similar - love to hear from you: and especially would love to find out what it was originally although we've always assumed it was a unique object made for a specific purpose by a local handyman and therefore may defy identification.
The 'thing' is approx 8cm wide, and 12cm high at the 'toe' rising to 15cm in quite precise graduated steps. 35cm to the broken top of the handle, and 27cm overall length.
Any suggestions?
