This is just a small sampling of what I've found at the flea markets and in second hand shops around here.
18K Gold (750) hallmarked creole earrings, also with the name of the goldsmith or retailers inside. 25 cents. (Brass!!!)
14K white gold clover earrings (mistaken for silver). Hallmarked 585. A buck.
14K gold/pearl earrings. Hallmarked 14K on the posts. $5
14K yellow/white gold post earrings. Hallmarked 585/14K $2,50
9CT gold (375) fine link chain. $5
14K gold (585) box chain. 35 cents (bought with a group of gold/silver jewelry for a total of $3.00)

kat - HA! Thanks. I look forward to weekends and bowls and boxes full of "junk" jewelry. Last summer, I bought two 14K gold rings - one with four full cut diamonds - for FIFTY CENTS. Found in the bottom of a box filled with miscellaneous stuff. I've since sold them because I need new glasses. Mine are expensive - multi-focal. I'm glad I had them to sell!
