Purchased this item at an auction about 15 years ago and have been trying to figure out where it came from and what is it used for. looks to be brass or bronze and uses oil or kerosene and is also about 1.7" tall and 2.5" long including neck with wick sticking out, and body is 1 & 5/8"round. Any help would be appreciated as it was all badly faded before I cleaned it, so it looked very old....

      Maybe an early "flambo".
