What beautiful pieces you have, Alan. And I mean all of them - your stunning Loetz in this post, your Rindskopfs, and your other lovelies. You have wonderful taste, and we all start the learning curve somewhere. Believe me, I have bought some vases online that I ended up giving to Goodwill! :) We all buy duds sometimes. And even though your vase in the 1st picture turned out to be a Teleflora vase, I sill think it is very pretty, and not a dud - just not an old art piece. We all need vases like this for our everyday use, don't we? One of the things I love about collecting is all the learning we get to do! :)
@Michelleb007, oh yes, that is so truth and the amazing thing about, it's coming better, wait to see my last find, i will say maybe around a week or 2, the piece of Glass i will receive, was last sold at auction(Christie) for a lot of $$$$ and I am the one choose to get it, i am still shaking, about that find.......stay tune.
BTW, you remember my Stauben Vase with Silver overlay, post few months ago, i have this appraise, from a glass specialist, well i have to say i did well on that one to, he say get this assured for $5000 to$6000, even the piece was not sign, there no dought on his mind, this vase was by Stauben Co
Happy camper
