Two mahogany chairs, identical. Remember them in my Grandmothers home and I am 70. I have looked up round back/bottom chairs to no avail. Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Your chairs are very similar to chairs design by Joseph Hoffmann at the early part of the 20th century. Hoffmann was a prominent designer and founder of the Wiener Werkstätte. If you search for barrel chair and Hoffmann I'm sure you will find lots of pictures. I have not seen this chair with the turned spindles so I can't really say they are by Hoffmann. Can I ask where was your grandmother living during the teens and 20's? I also found a match to your chairs witch sold on One Kings Lane web site with an asking price of $900. Just add spindle back to the search I suggested above or cut and paste this link into your browser - http://www.polyvore.com/spindle-back_barrel_chairs_pair/thing?id=103944056 If you would like a more exact value estimate contact the Wright auction house.
