The vase is 12.5" tall and 13" in circumference at its widest point. It is made from 4 separate pieces of brass / bronze soldiered together. There is a raised very detailed mural that encompasses the entire vase. A flat black paint covers the remaining surface area. It looks like it was paimted after being made by someone else since the paint covers part of the raised mural. On the base made in Japan is painted and DEIM JAPAN and 3 characters are stamped. The inside has sketches drawn with pencil or charcol as well as characters. Any help identifying the age would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all who have looked at and remain stumped as I am. Does anyone have suggestions as to who or where I can physically take the piece to and have it physically looked at. Thanks again....
