Well used cabinet

My grandmother left me this cabinet a couple of years ago. She had been using it as a kitchen larger cupboard and we use it in the same way. There have been some obvious repairs to it, including fitting new locks and I think that the shelving and pull up table were probably added later on. No nails or screws have been used in the main construction, just dovetails and mortise and tenon with wooden plugs. I have no idea of the wood or how old this is. Does anyone have any clues?
There is a possibility that it was originally made in Finland as my Grandparents were Finnish but they also lived in South Africa, England and Switzerland.
