The other day, I was talking with Kerry (kerry10456), and he made mention of my woody woodpecker pocket watch that I once had posted.
Since he mentioned it, and I currently didn't have anything posted in my "Character Watches" collection category, I decided to post it again.
First, I will mention that there never was a production woody woodpecker pocket watch made, only wristwatches, one made by Ingersoll in 1948 & one by Ingraham in 1952.
This dial was created by my uncle by overlaying a photo/decal on a dial with a 1957 E. Ingraham movement. I'm sure someone else could create one of these, but as far as I know it's a one-of-a-kind. The only value in this, is personal, because my uncle made it for me.
For all you "dollar watch" collectors, take a close look at the 2nd photo above and see if you can identify the dial that woody was placed on.
    Thanks for looking,
    Dave

Kerry, thanks for still appreciating my woody woodpecker pw.
I think I know what dial it is, but not 100% certain.

Kerry, sorry for the delay. I've spent most of the day getting rid of a virus on the computer.
      I agree it is a:
      St. Regis
      TRADE MARK
      dial.
My only reservation is, that all the St. Regis Trade Mark dials I have observed, have a inner & outer ring around the minute marks (this one does not), and the seconds dial has Ingraham printed above the seconds hand that should be partially visible. The last leg of the M on Inraham should at least be visible at the bottom of the 10 seconds.
With all that said, there are many variations of the St. Regis & St. Regis Trade Mark dials, and I think this is just another variation.
      I guess your the winner!!
I thought more contestants would chime in though.
      Thanks,
      Dave

Wow, I guess I didn't know your family was so personally involved in the making of these watches. Pretty neat!

Signaholic, involved enough where it could have got him one of those pinstriped suits (horizontal stripes that is), for patent infringements (LOL).
