Help can anyone help me in identifying who could have made this, I am sure, French antique doll.
She has the typical 'jumeau' sliced off at an angle bisque head with cork pate. The only mark on her is a raised " | " - see image and then on the brim of her forehead (not on the back) the artist ' Y ' sign
She has striking blue glass spiral almond eyes and a lovely cabinet size, 15ins (38cm)
Have you pulled neck up to see if anything there ? What is black spot by eyebrows ? Lips not highlighted a darker shade out lining them . Would love to see her undressed to see body .
Jumeau used the number 1 but your doll does not have painting of a Jumeau is there another number under 1 lower down ?
Hi Manikin Thanks for trying to solve things for me, I have added her undressed so that you can better see her - there is a " O " impresed under the raised " | " - on the back of her head.
On better inspection I see her hands have had a touch of paint.
Could you remove 3rd photo and add back a close up of her face again . I need to see it ok . Go to edit and photo's click remove on 3rd photo and then when a blank box comes up click on that and upload face ok . Thanks
Hi Manikin
I have uploaded a photo of her face, I think it is clear / large enough ?
