Mapasumish - Summer Cottage

This was my pepere's summer cottage - Mapasumish [Ma, Pa, Sue and Mish]. The 2nd photo is of my mom - Sue and Uncle Mish. It's on Lake Mascoma in Enfield, NH. In the first photo, you can see my Aunt George in the middle. She was actually my grandmother's aunt! i remember her very well and fondly. she lived in a beautiful, victorian which was filled to the brim w/ antiques. i remember one year, my mom dressed us all up in our best clothes and we went to a maple sugar party there. she heated maple syrup up to a very high temperature and then poured spoonfuls of it onto snow which was in a big, crystal dish on the decked out table - a very formal affair to pump us full of maple sugar [a lifelong addiction for me!].
