Solid glass. Found in Mississippi river approximately 20 years ago. Believe it was meant to be a commemorative bottle. However it is flawed. (Pebbles in glass, improper cut) which leads me to believe it's a factory defect a worker kept instead of remelting. Does anyone have any idea a value for a piece like this? I haven't been able to find a defect to compare it to anywhere.
I've seen a few of the crystal Coke bottles sell on eBay, usually $50 range for a nice one or "special edition" versions. Some sellers call these paperweights. Novelty or gift items. Many have the 1986 100th anniversary tie-in. Pretty sweet find. I think you're right about it being chucked unfinished due to flaws in the glass.
