Ness
(1 item)
This was found in a barn although that doesn't necessarily mean it's a farm tool. It is light metal. It has ridges on the outside of the top grip pieces. It also has grooves on the piece in the middle that look like it would measure something but there are no numbers on it. There could be a piece(s) missing.
Possibly a vetenarian instrument.
A few suggestions I have received were a tool to hold open a horse's jaw to float it's teeth (although I think it's too light a material for that) or the tool that holds the elastics for castration but I can't seem to confirm it anywhere or find any pictures that are similar for those types of tools.
