This stone looks the same colour as amethyst but it seems to have a different structure inside. Any ideas what it could be?

Really looks like amethyst, we are more used to the even color and purity of gem quality amethysts!
I have lots a amethyst but two are the same as this. The cracked look does not show on the outside. I presume they were cut to excentuate these inclusions. Otherwise the same as amethyst with my other checks.
