We bought an old farm house a few years back and this walk behind tractor was left behind. I have no idea how old it is but we have used it to till our garden every year since and it still works great.

I don't remember the name either but my dad had the exact thing during the late 50's early 60's. Dad owned a perennial nursery and loved this monster. As he got older he went to a front tine smaller tiller but always preferred the rear tine. Brings back memories.
Yes, my husband just loves it too...it's a Simplicity but not sure of the model. 50's 60's sounds about right if I think about the age of the gentleman we bought the house from. Just love the history stories!
Send your photos to Troy Built. They have a web site. I believe this is one of their units with a Tecumseh engine.
David Bradley MFG. made several models of these also...circa 1950's
Both of your photos show the same side. Can't see the front or pull start. If it has a front gear plate cover and a strap type start then it is probably a Gravely. Although I sooner think Troy Built. Troy Built is easy to deal with regarding such things, give them a try, good folks up there.

I know you said Simplicity but I think others made equipment for them. All were quality units.
