I bought this writing desk (?) for 31.00.
Can anyone tell me something about it or how much it's worth?
even if it's not worth much, still love it! :o)

cant say how much it is worth because the pictures are hard to see. I can tell you that if it is entirely original you got a good deal. Looks to have some age to it based on the dovetails in picture four. Someone with more knowledge will comment on the age based on the drawer construction.
Nice buy ! love it . fhr should be able to shed light on age for you when he signs on based on many things like dovetails .
From what i see, it looks like an old sewing machine case/holder.
It is a desk-- drawer shows hand dovetailed joint (19th century).
The center lock (on desk top) looks to be reworked. Hard to say if anything else has been redone. Additional pictures of the bottom of the desk and back may be helpful.
Also the drawer pulls may be later additions-- I would expect simple wood pulls. A photo of the inside of the drawer with the back of the pull hardware will tell. If there is a center hole-- then it began with simpler pulls.
As it sits it is a useful desk-- you wouldn't have a hard time recouping several times your initial investment!
