Here is a Yankees Pin back Pin Button which is obvious. What is so strange is the logo. The Bat is not inside the hat. Is this some kind of mistake? Is this button from the 1940's? I'e had this pin for a long time now and have just noticed the logo. Has anyone seen one like it?

It is not so little. It is 3 3/8" in diameter. That's approximately 8.5 cm. So it is the size of Texas

It's possible it's an old minor league team logo.

Little is an expression used for not large items in the U.k we call all items which fit in the pocket bag little/smalls but I do understand it is a very nice brooch and large. I have never seen anything like it and probably won't over here. I like the image a lot and the hat in it is very distinguishable, used on lots of old posters, I remember Apollo Creed wearing one in Rocky.
