Hi
Everyone.
I found this unsual Brass item tonight at the salvation, always love brass items, specialy when it's old and curious, this one.... make no exception.
This appear to be a kind of Grinder or Crusher, this is 2 piece item, picture #1 show the item together with some engraving"H.C.K",this 2 piece slide perfectly together, picture #2 show seperate, picture #3 show the buttom piece with hole at the base and finaly picture #4 show some making i found on one of the handle "the number 3" with letter around, i will look later with a magnifer if i can sort some letter, because the handle was use to manually operate the item the letters are partially wear, but i will sort some letter for sure.
Now i will need some help to sort that mistery, if someone have some clue about what this is, i willl appreciated any input.

Pepper grinder?
Play-dog silly hair is all I can see haha! Looks more like some sort of press than a grinder. Do the holes have sharp edges for grinding or smooth like a press?
