Hello again, I sent this inquiry awhile back along with some representative photos. The framed piece is a water color in good condition. The map is also in good condition and the one water color shop drawin If you are at all interested please let me know…I am at a loss to find a market or a university that would be interested in some old (circa 1850) Russian railroad drawings of the then St. Petersburg Railway. My father came across them back in the 1950's, as his firm was demolishing an existing home that was soon to be a roadway project, he found some spec. drawings that included different part of the project, a map of the area at the time, various correspondence, and a water color rendering of what was to become the railroad station and all.

What is interesting is the fact that one of the main players in this project was an American by the name of Francis C Pratt, who was the chief master of the Alexandroffsky head mechanical works from 1855 to 1870. . The actual drawings are very unique and quite beautiful. There are a dozen or so drawings ranging from the "Boiler Shop", "Smith Shop", "Erecting Shop"," Alexzandroffsky Fitting Shop" (all on translucent paper that has been colored from the underside). Some of them are quite large 3'x6' some on very thick paper, others on what seems to be an oil paper or sorts. Some are in good condition, others are not. There are a number of correspondence documents, invitations to a wedding, estimate ledger for the rolling stock of Warsaw Nicholas lines (1876) and a list of all of the project drawings. As I said these drawings and document have been in storage for too long.

    Respectfully Submitted,
