These figures are my Grandmother's. I was always drawn to these as a kid because of the color, I think. And the baby. She doesn't remember where she got them (dang it), and I would love to know if they represent a historical family, where and when they were made, etc. They're about 8" tall. No mark on the bottom that I can see.
Looks austrian origin to me. Unique pieces.
I'm no expert, but I think they are slip cast Staffordshire figurines of Victoria, Albert and the Princess Royal. I went to the Pottery Museum in Stoke recently and just loved the figurines made in the local Staffordshire factories. If you google them you'll find there are several versions of the same group, and an older Albert (wearing the same uniform) and Victoria sitting on the same chairs. Shame I can't attach photos.
