Antique rocking chair

I bought this chair many years ago but never knew its age or origin...can anyone let me know. It is nicely carved. no markings it is 26" arm to arm side to side, 14 1/4" floor to top of seat, 27 1/4" on the seat back and 39" floor to top of seat back, 33" rocker leg and appears to have no hardware, put together with just the wood. I would love to know more about my chair.
