This vase recently fell into my lap at auction. It's made of Lotton's very desirable Mandarin Red glass with an electric blue dropped feather design. The rim is also decorated with the same blue. He's a little guy measuring 4 1/2" tall. An example of this vase is documented in D. Thomas and Charles Lotton's book "Lotton Art Glass", pg 51, fig. 50. As always, thanks for looking.

Thanks Mac and Karen for the love and comments, and thanks for the love Tony, Mike, Peggy, Austro and Silvia, I appreciate it.

@ Karen... I love these too. His Mandarin pieces - red and yellow - are such a departure from his Multi Flora pieces.

This series of MR footed cabinet vases with black & silver wisteria decoration was introduced by Charles in 1980. His first production of MR was in 1973. I have the good fortune of owning his first experimental piece of MR that he produced in his backyard. He had several later MR series productions but MR wasn't done often during his now 45 year career. Mandarin Yellow pieces were produced even less often! I think his 1980 series is one of his best!
