This is one of my newest pieces of stoneware. I don't know much about it but I absolutely love it....the color and the shape and everything else about it that gives it all of it's character.

Stoneware bottles were as you might know used throughout the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. in the US, they mostly stopped using stoneware bottles around 1895. I think this bottle might be from the Civil War. The Only person that I can think of that can be the George Reynolds that is engraved in the bottle is a soldier in the Civil War, he was active from 1861, to 1864. If what I think is correct then you really have a great piece of history on your hand.

Thank you so much for your information I really appreciate it and that would be extremely exciting if that were so I love the bottle so much I think it's beautiful and if it didn't have that history tied to it it would be just that more amazing thank you so very much I appreciate it
