Many years ago, a friend of my parent, who lived among the giant redwoods of Northern California, would make clocks out of fallen redwood trees he would find. This is one he gave my parents many years ago (both my parents and friend passed away many years ago).
While rummaging through my basement yesterday, I found this mantle clock & also, a wall hanging redwood clock.
The redwood burl slab is beautiful, with its clear gloss finish on the front & sides and the rough sawn unfinished back.
The base slab is 23-1/2 inches long, 6-1/2 inches wide & 1-1/2 inches thick.
The slab holding the clock movement & barometer is 21-1/2 inches long, 12 inches high & 2-1/2 inches thick.
The clock is a quartz movement.
The barometer is made in West-Germany.
thanks for looking,
Dave
