You don't find 'em like this anymore!
I aquired this from the ORIG owner who assured me this was NEVER stored outside, that is why the RUBBER is in as good of condition that it is.
ERTL - DYERSVILLE. OHIO - ORIG ERTL ALLIS-CHAMLERS 8070 PEDAL TRACTOR Model #A-64 Part #190-7601 is in ORIGINAL CONDITION, with NORMAL wear for a PLAYED with toy that is 40 years old?
I suspect this to be from the 1960's/1970's, it's CAST and in AWESOME condition, the only 2 NON-ORIGINAL parts (see pics) is the "PIN" that holds the sterring wheel to the steering shaft is a nail. And one (1) of the front wheels has been replaced with what looks like a lawnmower wheel.
The RUBBER - PEDALS - REAR TIRES - SEAT are NOT dry rotted! They are still very pliable. The paint is ORIG, the chain & sprockets are in GREAT condition, looks as though it still has the ORIG lube & the sprockets show hardly any wear.
CAn anyone tell me anything about this, like year, etc.
Thanx for any help!
Scott
This a 1964, worth around 300.00 in excellent condition. Any pedal tractor made prior to 1963 was made by Eska Company and will only say made in the USA.
The Allis Chalmers model 8070 was in production from 1982-1985 so your pedal tractor is just about 30 years old and made by ertl.
