This is really large 28" cast iron pipe wrench (I think that's what it's called). It appears to have been hand wrought...beautiful old tool.

Not sure of your 28 inch wrench length, but it appears "Acme" designed, and patented this style of pipe wrench in the 1800's, as shown in this link. Very Nice Find!

BTW, it is actually 28"...it's so big, it kind of looks like a cartoon wrench.
Your Welcome Foofighter. I'm sure if you look into it more, you will probably find your 28 incher, but it will be hard without a name to research. I would start with finding the Original Acme Patent, on Google patents, and see if it holds any clues under references, etc. Good Luck!
