Purchased 10 years ago. Chemcleaned, valves aligned, valve guides repaired. Currently practicing on this horn. No dents. Silver plating worn in places where left hand holds horn. Rest is very nice for 88 years old. Engraved with "1900 Exposition Universelle de Paris", "HORS CONCOURS", Membre du Jury", Couesnon & Co", "FOURNISSEURS DE L'ARMEE", "94 RUE D'ANGOULEME", "PARIS", "CHATEAU-THIERRY". A professionally made trumpet for France's military.
The pineapple has "27" engraved in it, the year of manufacture. The second valve, left-hand side, has a "C" with a "12" under it near the bottom of the casing. A "Z" is engraved at the middle of the casing. A rotary valve selects Bb to A and back. Perfectly pitched! Nice horn.
