Philco model 42-390. Made in 1941-42. Production was halted due to WWII. This one needs an electrical restoration, it lights and hums, but won't tune. This is one of the last radios made with prewar FM signal reception. Before WWII, the FM stations broadcast on frequencies of 42-50Mhz. After WWII, that changed to today's 88-107Mhz.
I do NOT! understand why CW keeps rotating my photos. The two middle photos were taken 180 degrees from each other, in an attempt to get you at least one photo you don't have to do cartwheels to see.
I like that radio , it must have a good sound when it is all working..
