Another older one, no markings. Lightning bolts. The clear rhinestone looks to me like someone tried to replace it, but the one they put there is too small.
Update, so I decided to clean it yesterday since I was really bored. The back still needs some work but it's really like a brand new pin. On the back I even found another .925 , if you look where the lighting bolts come together in the middle. I'm debating on replacing the rhinestone since that area isn't coming clean and the rhinestone doesn't fit like it should. Then again, not really sure I want to change it since that might be the original rhinestone.
I checked it over, no makers mark. It really needs a wash job though! Kind of afraid to clean any of the jewelry. Do you think it's early 1900s? Looks really old to me, it did come with other brooches that look like they are from early 1900s.
Very cool brooch. It really looks nice as it is. My guess is that yellow stuff in the setting is old glue, and the stone may be glass/rhinestone or it could be a natural quartz crystal. Unless you were to put some money into a repair, it might be wise to keep the stone as it is. This pin does look handmade -- very unique. Love it!
