I found this in an old house that was being demolished. The owner was going to throw it away and I asked if I could have it and they said yes. The votive is not original of course, but I am wondering what it is. I know it's made by the Derby Silver Company and that it is quadruple plated and the number on the bottom is 3601, but that is it. I can't find any information anywhere on what it was used for or any information on the number on the bottom. The mark is even different from the other Derby Silver marks that I have seen. The Derby Silver Company logo is not enshrined in a circle, only the anchor and crown is. can anyone help??? I'm going to guess and say it's Victorian. Thanks much.
