This is a head vase of a man I got many years ago at a thrift store for $2 I think it's pretty rare since I haven't been able to find any other men had vases it also has a place for a flower bud in the lapel
He looks like a Japanese make to me, just on the characterisation. I adore him!
Any marks on the base?
Pretty sure he's made in California. Perhaps Weil or Cleminsons? I know I've seen him before, probably in one of the California pottery books. If no one come back w/ a definitive attribution, I'll pull out all my books and go through them.
Could you add a pic of the base, even if unmarked.
