    Please help me identity this oil lamp that we recently got. It says 271 on bottom of base says Eagle on top by the wick yet on wick spin knob it says P&A Connecticut made in USA . Any info will help.

      First of all, the chimney is upside down and a smaller is required for this burner. Many U S companies made these table lamps and this is probably a Fostoria Glass product. It was made circa 1895-1910 and would have had a matching in decoration shade. The shade could have been a ball shade that sat on a 5 inch shade holder or a half moon shade that sat on a spider attached to the burner. The eagle burner is a newer replacement but ok with this lamp. RER(Bob)
