      Nice looking old Moulding plane! Who was the maker of it? In your picture #3, I can make out "_ _ _ _ _ _, TOOL & PLANE CO., NAUGATUCK, CONN.", but cannot make out the first word? Can You make it out? Thanks

      frisco....yeah I saw that too. Its reads:

      THE DOSCHER PLANE AND TOOL CO
      SAUGATUCK CONN

      Thanks BHock45! This Company has a very rich history, going back to the mid to late 1800's. I had never seen an old wooden moulding plane with a metal runner on the profile until now. I want to find out if this was factory installed, or an add on, and what other tools they made. Nice Find!
