Hello Fellow Collectors. Earlier today fellow patron pw-collector(Dave) asked about a piece I have in one of my cabinets. This is what he was wanting to know about.....As Paul Harvey used to say "Here's the rest of the story"
This little clock was produced by The New Haven Clock Company as an advertisement piece for Friedman-Shelby Shoe Co. of St. Louis, Mo. circa 1908-11, International Shoe Company purchased Friedman-Shelby Shoe Company, and took over operations in 1912.
I've always found it ironic that design of this clock was it's in the shape of a horse shoe, advertising shoe for people.
Well that's about it, Thanks for looking and Dave, I hope you enjoy seeing this a little closer and Everybody....Have a Great Day

Great advertising clock. Maybe their slogan was "Your Lucky to Own a Pair".
Seeing your 2nd photo, comparing it to a quarter, I think I have a pair of New Haven bakelite clocks about the same size (2-1/8" high, 2" across & 1/2" thick).

Dave, I also have several of the "mini" clocks from New Haven, most are Bakelite and various shapes. Your measurements are pretty close to what mine are also, This horseshoe is the largest of those I have. I think I remember your "pair" and have one very similar only mine doesn't have the flora design on dial.

Thanks Dave and Mikelv85 for all the support, very appreciated!!

LOL, glad it wasn't you...feel a lot safer now, as far as feeling goes, doing fairly well this evening, moon sign of something has me feeling a lot less pain this evening, could almost relax enough to attempt a horizontal position, but better refrain and stick with the 45 degree angle in recliner

Thanks fortapache, it was one of those deals, I have several "Shoe" advertisement watches and this little burger jumped out at me while "Thrifting" one day and said "Mister, TAKE ME HOME....PLEASE". Well didn't want to disappoint the little guy, so adopted him and brought him home. :-)

      Hello all,

      Longtime collector, first time poster.

I have a black version of this clock, but have not been able to find any info in this, other than what is on this page. I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of where to obtain Intel on what it was made for, its potential worth, etc.

Thanks very much for your time.
